9. Miscellaneous NTI operates this website
out of its office in Henderson, Nevada. If you use this
website from other locations you are responsible for
compliance with all applicable local laws and
regulations. These terms of
use will be governed by the substantive laws of the
State of Nevada, regardless of where you reside or
transact business with NTI. Use of this
website will be deemed to take place solely in
Nevada. You
agree that the district court located in Las
Vegas, Nevada will have the exclusive jurisdiction
over any and all disputes arising out of or relating to
these terms of use of our use of this website and that
you will submit to the jurisdiction of such court. The prevailing
party in any dispute will be entitled to reasonable
attorney's fees and costs.
II. Privacy Policy
National Technical Institute is committed
to protecting your privacy at all times. We do not share
your information with outside companies for the purposes
of selling their products and services to you. We maintain
security standards and procedures designed to protect
your registration and personal information and we
will continue to test and update our technology to
improve the protection of your information.
1. Security NTI has
taken steps to ensure the security of all data we
collect on www.ntitraining.net. NTI has taken
proactive measures to protect against the loss, misuse,
and alteration of the information under our
control. NTI
employs encryption technology, protecting data at each
point of transfer. To ensure that
your credit card and personal information is even more
secure, once we receive your credit card information, we
store it on a server that isn't accessible from the
Internet. However, in the unlikely event that you are
subject to fraudulent charges, remember to immediately
notify your credit card provider in accordance with its
reporting rules and procedures.
2. Integrity At NTI, we utilize redundant
systems (i.e., backup systems) to reduce the chance of
data loss. NTI also uses
computer virus detection and eradication software on
systems containing computer data. Firewalls are
also employed to prevent unauthorized computer entry
into systems containing your private information.
3. Personal
Information NTI does not release your personal,
account or credit card information to any entity other
than the credit card service providers involved in the
processing of your payments. Apart
from this, NTI only discloses your personal or account
information in the good faith belief that NTI is required to do so
by law, or that doing so is reasonably necessary
to:
a) comply with
legal process; b) respond to any claims; or c) protecting the rights,
property or personal safety of NTI, its customers or
the public.
4. Information
Collected When you make payments
online at www.ntitraining.net, we
need to know your billing address, e-mail
address, apartment complex (or mobile home community, condominium,
etc.), account number, phone number, credit card
number , CID (3 or 4
digit credit card security code) and credit card expiration
date. This
allows us to process your payment and credit your
account. Credit card
transactions are handled by a third-party financial
institution, which receives credit card numbers and
other personal identifying information only to verify
the credit card numbers and process transactions.
5. Your
Information You are always entitled to have
access to the information you submitted on www.ntitraining.net. Please
contact the Education Services Manager to obtain past
information regarding payments, credits, charges,
etc.
III. Refund Policy
| 1. |
(a) |
If National Technical Institute has substantially failed to furnish the training program agreed upon in the enrollment agreement, we shall refund to the student all money paid. |

(b) |
If the student cancels his enrollment before the start of the training program, National Technical Institute shall refund all the money they have paid, minus 10 percent of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement or $100.00, whichever is less. |

| |
(c) |
If the student withdraws, is expelled or is terminated from a course, after the start date of class, but before 60% of the course has been presented, you will be charged: a prorated tuition, and 10% of the full tuition agreed upon in the Enrollment Agreement or $100.00 whichever is less. |

| |
(d) |
If the student withdraws, is expelled or is terminated from a course after the completion of 60 % of the training program, the student will be charged the entire cost of the tuition agreed upon in the enrollment agreement. |

|
| 2. |
If a refund is owed pursuant to Paragraph 1, National Technical Institute shall pay the refund to the person or entity who paid the tuition within 15 calendar days after the: |

(a) |
Date of cancellation by a student of his enrollment; |
| |
|
|
| |
(b) |
Date of termination by the institution of the enrollment of a student; |
| |
|
|
| |
(c) |
Last day of an authorized leave of absence if a student fails to return after the period of authorized absence; or |
| |
|
|
| |
(d) |
Last day of attendance of a student, whichever is applicable. |
| |
|
|
| 3. |
Books, educational supplies or equipment for individual use are not included in the policy for refund stated in Paragraph 1, and will not be refunded. |

| 4. |
For the purposes of this section: |
| |
|
|
| |
(a) |
The period of a student's attendance is measured from the first day of instruction as set forth in the enrollment agreement through the student's last day of actual attendance, regardless of absences. |

| |
(b) |
The period of time for the training program is set forth in the enrollment agreement. |
| |
|
|
| |
(c) |
Tuition is calculated using the tuition and fees set forth in the enrollment agreement and does not include books, educational supplies or equipment that are listed separately from the tuition and fees. |
