Facilities Engineer Training Program

NTI has joined forces with the National Association of Power Engineers (N.A.P.E. - established 1882) and proudly draws on 125 years of professional knowledge to provide students with one of the most qualified Facilities Engineer Training Programs offered in the USA.

Our Facilities Engineer Training Program includes classes that begin at the basic technical level and moves students through all aspects of training that prepares them for certification as a Facility Engineer or Central Plant Engineer.

NTI provides the most up to date training by utilizing seasoned professional educators, including the veteran facilities engineering instructor Rick Hamalainen. All of our instructors continue to hold key facilities engineering and professional positions with our local industry base.

New students entering this exciting industry as well as experienced technicians benefit from the educational offerings of our training programs which are separated into basic industry fundamentals, core stationary engineering academics, hands on technical training, industrial engineered equipment, advanced central plant systems and controls.

NTI’s Facilities Engineer Training Program is broken down into 14 easy to manage classes. You can complete all 14 classes at your own pace. Classes are one day per week with lengths ranging from 2 weeks to 8 weeks. All classes are in the evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm. This allows our students to have the highest degree of flexibility to achieve their educational and professional certification goals in a time frame that works for each individual.

Students graduating from the program will be trained in the skills necessary to exceed in the Facility Engineering field and will be prepared for various certifications through our affiliations with nationally recognized, 3rd party testing, and certification organizations. These professional organizations include the American Society of Power Engineers, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the North American Technician Excellence Organization.
